Bonsack, Virginia is a part of Roanoke County in Southwest Virginia located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Famous landmarks such as the Mill Mountain Star and the Read Mountain Trail. The town of Bonsack was founded in 1740 and received its namesake in 1852 after the family who donated land to help the railroad industry move through the area. In conjunction with Vinton, VA, the town hosts a total population of 10,938.
